Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) – is a set of eight terrestrial radio telescopes connected in international cooperation into one telescope the size of the Earth – designed to record images of a black hole. At coordinated press conferences around the world, EHT researchers revealed that the project was successful, revealing the first direct visual evidence of a supermassive black hole at the center of our Milky Way galaxy and its shadow.
