Step into the pioneering world of space exploration with "Neptune System Explorer (NSE) 'Verrier-Galle'" by Maciej Rebisz

This stunning artwork captures the high-stakes adventure and technological marvel of a spacecraft venturing into the distant reaches of our solar system.

The NSE "Verrier-Galle" is depicted in exquisite detail as it orbits Neptune, with the planet's serene blue atmosphere and its moon creating a breathtaking backdrop.

Image history

Neptune system space probe "Verrier-Galle". Roughly based on a "Neptune System Explorer" study from 2011 by JPL and NASA, which would be a Cassini-style spacecraft exploring Neptune and its moons.

I had started working on this back in 2015, then abandoned it for another 2 years, then picked it up again in late 2017, to finally rediscover and finish it this week.

Perfect for space enthusiasts, sci-fi fans, and art lovers, this piece celebrates human ingenuity and the relentless pursuit of knowledge, transforming any space into a portal to the outer cosmos.

Maciej, a Polish concept artist, embarked on his digital art journey in 2005, illustrating for an array of projects and collaborating with space institutions. After contributing to animations at Platige Image, he joined CD Projekt RED to work on the highly acclaimed Cyberpunk 2077. With a passion for space and spaceflight technology, Maciej's artwork spans across books, board games, and card games, mainly in the science fiction genre. He has also collaborated with prominent organizations such as NASA and Arizona State University, showcasing his talent in accurately portraying space-related subjects.
