Mystic Mountain in Carina Nebula: Embark on a Cosmic Journey

Step into the universe with the breathtaking Mystic Mountain in the Carina Nebula poster. This craggy, fantasy mountaintop enshrouded by wispy clouds resembles a landscape from Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings.

Captured by the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope, this image is stranger than fiction, showcasing chaotic activity atop a massive pillar of gas and dust.

This pillar, three light-years high, is eroded by the brilliant light from nearby stars while being assaulted from within by jets of gas from infant stars buried inside it.

Witness Stellar Magic at 7,500 Light-Years Away

Mystic Mountain sits in the tempestuous stellar nursery known as the Carina Nebula, located 7,500 light-years away in the southern constellation of Carina.

The image, marking the 20th anniversary of Hubble's launch and deployment into Earth orbit, unveils energetic processes where scorching radiation and fast winds from hot newborn stars shape and compress the pillar, leading to the formation of new stars.

    Vivid Celestial Colors

Hubble’s Wide Field Camera 3 captured this scene on February 1-2, 2010, using colors that correspond to the glow of oxygen (blue), hydrogen and nitrogen (green), and sulphur (red).

The photograph reveals streamers of hot ionized gas flowing off the ridges and wispy dust veils illuminated by starlight floating around its peaks. Despite these challenges, the pillar resists erosion by radiation, standing firm in the cosmos.

    Inspire Wonder and Discovery

Perfect for space enthusiasts, educators, and anyone fascinated by the universe, this print will ignite curiosity and inspire discoveries. Hang it in your home, office, or educational space to bring the wonder and complexity of the cosmos into your everyday life.

    A Tribute to Hubble's Legacy

Featuring this magnificent image in your space celebrates the power of the Hubble Space Telescope and its unparalleled ability to reveal the wonders of the universe.

This isn't just a poster — it's a piece of cosmic history that highlights the birth of stars and the dynamic forces shaping our galaxy.
