Marzena Rogozińska – a psychologist and educator by profession, has been engaged in astrophotography since 2020, combining science, art, and travel. She has photographed, among others, the Milky Way in Europe and Hawaii, the aurora borealis in Norway and Iceland, a total solar eclipse in the USA, and southern sky objects in Namibia.

She develops projects, publishes her photographs in astronomical magazines, and conducts workshops and lectures. Her work has been distinguished twice within NASA’s Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) project (2021 and 2025).

Marzena Rogozińska: Solar Eclipse Phases Mosaic Panorama – A Complete Journey Through Totality

When the cosmos aligned on April 8, 2024, Polish astrophotographer Marzena Rogozińska was there to capture something extraordinary. From the clear skies of Russellville, Arkansas, she documented every breathtaking moment of the total solar eclipse—from first contact to the stunning diamond ring finale.

This isn't just a photograph. It's a complete visual story of one of nature's most awe-inspiring performances, meticulously crafted into a museum-quality panoramic mosaic that transforms any space into a window to the universe.

Why This Eclipse Image Captivates Collectors Worldwide

    Master Craftsmanship Meets Celestial Drama
Rogozińska's expertise shines through every frame. As a NASA-recognized astrophotographer whose work has twice earned the prestigious "Astronomy Picture of the Day" honor, she brings technical precision and artistic vision to every capture. Each phase was photographed with varying exposures, then seamlessly combined to reveal details invisible to the naked eye.

    The Complete Eclipse Experience
This mosaic captures the full emotional journey—the anticipation as the moon's edge first touches the sun, the crescendo of totality with its ethereal corona and dancing prominences, and the triumphant return of daylight. You'll see the famous diamond ring effect that occurs mere seconds before and after totality, when brilliant sunlight creates a jewel-like appearance against the faint corona.

A Moment in Time, Preserved Forever
The April 8, 2024 eclipse was special. With totality lasting over 4 minutes in some locations and occurring near solar maximum, the corona displayed remarkable detail and solar prominences erupted in spectacular fashion. Weather conditions in Arkansas provided the perfect viewing window—partial clouds cleared just moments before totality, allowing for this pristine capture.
