Damian A. Peach is a British amateur astronomer, astrophotographer, lecturer, and author known for his astronomical photographs. Inspired by books in his school library, Peach's passion for astronomy began in 1988. He joined the British Astronomical Association (BAA) in 1996, contributing observations and co-authoring papers. In 2006, he was awarded the Merlin Medal by the BAA and the Walter H. Haas award by the Association of Lunar and Planetary Observers (ALPO).

Peach's work has been featured in various magazines, books, and exhibitions, including the Royal Albert Hall's Explorers of the Universe exhibition. His work has also been used by NASA and ESA to demonstrate the capabilities of ground-based telescopes. Peach was the overall winner of the Royal Greenwich Observatory astrophotographer of the year competition in 2011 and a prize-winning finalist from 2012 to 2018. He has appeared on BBC television programs, including the Sky at Night with Sir Patrick Moore, and has conducted public talks for amateur and professional organizations. In 2017, asteroid 27632 was renamed Damianpeach by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) in recognition of his contributions to amateur astronomy, and in 2018, he was awarded the Astronomical League's prestigious Peltier Award.
