Why this photograph matters

The story behind JWST: Pismis 24

At first glance, it looks like a rugged mountain range at twilight, its peaks brushed by morning mist. But look closer. You aren't looking at Earth. You are looking at Pismis 24, a violent, beautiful stellar nursery located 5,500 light-years away in the heart of the Lobster Nebula.

This isn’t just an image; it is a chronicle of birth. These "craggy mountains" are actually towering pillars of cosmic dust being sculpted by the blistering radiation of the universe’s most massive infant stars.

Why This Piece Belongs in Your Collection

At Astrography, we don’t just print images; we curate the most significant moments in human discovery. We comb through the vast archives of the James Webb Space Telescope to select only those scenes that carry profound artistic value and a story that resonates.

  • Museum-Grade Longevity: Our Fine Art prints are crafted to gallery standards. Using archival materials, these prints boast a lifespan of over 200 years. You are investing in an heirloom that will retain its depth and color for generations.
  • The NASA NIRCam Detail: Captured in the infrared spectrum, this image reveals thousands of jewel-like stars hidden to the human eye. From the brilliant six-pointed diffraction spikes of massive suns to the delicate orange wisps of the nebula, every detail is rendered with surgical precision.
  • Versatile Options: Whether you are building a professional gallery or looking for a high-impact budget-friendly poster, we provide the same meticulous attention to detail in every format.

Who Is This For?

  • Art Collectors: Who demand rarity, story, and technical perfection.
  • Space & Science Lovers: Who want a daily reminder of the scale and majesty of our universe.
  • Interior Designers: Seeking a "hero piece" that provides a sophisticated, ethereal atmosphere to modern spaces.
  • Originality Seekers: Those who want their walls to spark conversations about physics, beauty, and the unknown.
  • Gift Seekers: Give the gift of the cosmos—a timeless gesture for a milestone occasion.

Service and quality

We currently live in Phnom Penh and we don’t see many stars at night so we bought the big Omega Centauri picture. It only took 6 days to reach us and the quality and details in the picture were amazing, so many stars. We love it and so do our guests. Many thanks to Adam and Astrography. The plan is now to buy a few more!

Great poster!

The poster came in a protective cylinder undamaged. I have it hanging in my office on the main wall next to my Columbia Crew photo. I like the vibrant colors and fine details. It is notable piece of art.

Questions, answered

Anything else — support@astrography.com, answered the same day.

Is this a real photograph?

Yes. Every image is original photography — NASA, ESA, Hubble and JWST archives, observatory data, or Adam’s own telescopes — faithfully remastered in our studio. Any visible grain is inherent to deep-space photography at extreme distance. We keep it, because it’s part of what makes the image real.

How long does delivery to the USA take?

Every print is made to order in 2–4 business days, then delivered in 3–5 more. Typical door-to-door time: 5–9 business days, fully tracked.

Will I pay customs, duties, or import fees?

No. Shipping is shown and paid at checkout, and after that there are no surprise charges — no customs, duties, or carrier fees on delivery.

Should I choose Poster or Fine Art?

Poster (semi-gloss) is our best-value option with vivid contrast and a subtle sheen. Fine Art (matte) is museum-grade cotton paper with archival pigment inks rated for 100+ years and zero glare — the finish we recommend for space imagery and the one we hang in our own studio.

Is a frame included?

No — your print arrives rolled in a rigid protective tube. All sizes match standard frames, so any off-the-shelf frame fits.

What if it arrives damaged?

We replace damaged or misprinted prints free of charge, no return shipping required.

Can I return it?

Yes — you have 30 days. Hang it, live with it, decide slowly. If it doesn’t make the wall better, send it back for a full refund, no questions asked.
