Matteo Strassera is a young landscape photographer and tireless traveller born in Rome.

His deep passion for unspoilt nature leads him to distance himself from civilization, leaving behind the chaos and pace of city life. Every wild and isolated corner of the planet becomes an oasis of peace, and his camera is the tool that connects him with nature.

Matteo has travelled to over 45 countries, among the most unforgettable places are Patagonia, Canadian parks, Norwegian fjords and vast Arabian deserts. His attraction to natural landscapes leads Matteo to return to the same place numerous times to rediscover it, seeking different weather and light conditions at all hours of the day and night. This, combined with his love for Iceland, has led him to return to the Land of Ice and Fire 15 times in just 3 years.

An expert in aerial photography, Matteo offers a unique perspective that enhances his work, giving viewers breathtaking views from above. More recently, fascinated by the immense night skies, he has taken up astrophotography, with great success.

In 2024, he won more than 50 awards in international photography competitions, including the International Photography Awards, Nature Photographer of the Year, EPSON Pano Awards and International Landscape Photographer of the Year.
In 2025, he joined GVF, a prestigious group of Italian photographers who run workshops all over the world.

Matteo considers natural spaces to be one of the planet's most precious treasures. What we admire today is the result of nature's relentless work, shaped over millennia, if not millions of years. Through his photography, he seeks to capture the profound beauty and harmony that emerge from this magnificent and chaotic creation.
